Sonia Wieder-Atherton, renowned cellist and free-spirited artist, rejected the well-trodden paths of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris to follow her own aspirations.
The film, a true "musical autobiography" of 84 minutes, takes us on an intimate journey through numerous musical pieces interspersed with archival footage, photos, and videos, with illuminating commentary from Sonia herself. It explores the various stages and influences of her life, from her childhood in New York and her studies in Paris and Moscow to her flourishing career that spans the globe. More than just a succession of works, it is a true symphony of life, an anthem to artistic freedom expressed by this great artist and her faithful cello.
