Asmahan was a singer and actress of sultry beauty and tumultuous life. She drowned under obscure circumstances in the Nile in 1944, at the age of 27. This play is a strange duet between 25-year-old Asmahan, cloistered in her King David hotel room in Jerusalem, and Asmahan, who returns to earth many years after her tragic death in the Nile. A voice that, between East and West, reconciles cultures that today clash.
