"After my father’s death 20 years ago, I’ve always felt like I didn’t know how to give him the right place in our unfinished relationship. I invented my own rituals, secretly, without any instructions and without conviction, trying to prolong who he was. From this imperfect situation, based more on hesitant practices and superstitions, I wanted to know how others dealt with their deceased loved ones. In a society where death remains a taboo, I decided to meet those who, after the pain, investigate, open boxes, diaries, photo albums, letters; those who engage in dialogue, invent, create, and offer a real place to their departed."
